He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester McClain and Mamie Lambert McClain; his wife Lois Doyle; his grandson Ryan McClain; and his siblings, Ada Mae Elder, Carrie Whitford, Chester "Bud" McClain, Geneva DeMoss, Walter McClain, Mabel Shepherd, Goldie Craig, Irma Fengel and Darlene O'Dell.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Stoneking (Robert) of Quincy and Kurt McClain (Brenda) of Littleton, CO; and his granddaughters, Megan and Allison McClain of Littleton, CO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
