It is with sadness that the passing of Anita Marie Steinway of Quincy, Illinois is shared. Anita, born on July 10, 1957, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Anita will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Anita by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Anita is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Anita’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Dietrich and Joan Dietrich (Durand); her brothers, Daniel and Edward Dietrich; and her parents-in-law, Emmett and Roberta Steinway.
She is survived by: her husband Fred J. Steinway; and her daughter Janetta Steinway of Quincy.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (1721 College Ave, Quincy, IL 62301).
Memorials are suggested to the JWCC College for Life Program (JWCC Foundation), St. Francis Church, or Quincy Notre Dame.
