She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hessing and Lydia Behrensmeyer Hessing; her husband Melvin "Bud" Ward; her siblings, Frank, Rose, Charles, Ralph, John, Joe, Margaret and George; and her children-in-law, Alan Purvis, Kyle Rueb, Bob Glasgow and Sue Ward.
She is survived by: her children, Tamara Fischer (Larry), Jill Purvis, Deborah Rueb (Gene Smith), Mel Ward (Kris Wentzel), Wendy McCartney (Rick), Kathy Edwards (Carl), Marty Ward (Diane) and Heidi Mark; and her grandchildren, Tim Fischer, Troy Fischer, Trent Fischer, Ian Purvis, Brianna Purvis, Jana Youssef, Brock Billings, Eric Rueb, Shea Kiessling, Meegan Cramer, Tonya Utterback-Martin, Brooke Walker, Lucas Utterback, Kristen Dakhil and Tyler Ward. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
