It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Deters in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernard J. Weiman, and Marie Weiman, Sr. (Harman); her siblings, Wilma Maxwell, Robert Weiman (Bob), Bernie Weiman and William Weiman (Bill); and her brother-in-law John McCourt.

She is survived by : her husband Jack; her children, Patricia Deters of Peoria, IL, Jeffrey (Chad Stevenson) of Quincy, IL, Theresa Reichert (Ron) of Quincy, IL, Allen Deters (Annette) of Fowler, IL, Joseph Deters (Amy) of Loraine, IL and Andrew Deters (Jennifer) of Quincy, IL.; her sister Mary Dietrich (James) of Quincy, IL; her sister-in-law Norma Wieman of Quincy, IL.; her grandchildren, Victoria Deters, Benjamin, Morgan, Samuel Catt, Cody Deters (Shawnee), Emily Clark (Quentin), Niki Cawthon (Clayton), Jordan Reichert (Shelby), Olivia Kelle (Conner), Jessica Kestner (Garrett), Rachel Deters, Allison Deters (Ryan Hurt), Alex Deters (Meghan), Johnathan Deters (Alyssa), Nadeane, Charlie, Mattilyn Deters, Jack and Caroline Deters; her great grandchildren, Luke, Barrett, Ellie Deters, Asher, Cora, Sybil Clark, Nolan, Ava, Isabella, Charlotte Cawthon, Walter, Baby Reichert, William Kelle, Beckett Kestner, Ezekiel Deters, Tucker, Anderson Deters, Nora Hurt, Emmaline, Adrianna, Graham, Josephine Deters, Hudson, Brooks and Callahan Deters; and her in-laws, Judy McCourt, Tom, Jane Deters, Jim and Dianne Deters. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Church of St. Peter On (2600 Maine St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Peter (2600 Maine St, Quincy, IL 62301).

Memorials are suggested to Quincy Notre Dame, Church of St. Peter or Bickford Cottage.
