Barbara Niewohner Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Barbara Niewohner of Quincy, Illinois. Barbara passed away on September 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ralph Waterkotte and Rita Waterkotte (Broemmel); her husband Terry E. Niewohner; her children, Keith Niewohner (Erika Workman) of Quincy, Stacey Niewohner of Quincy and Kraig Niewohner (Tina Jett) of Quincy; her grandchildren, Kara Koyer (CJ), Kameron Schnelle, Aiden Niewohner, Trinity Schnelle and Zoe Niewohner; her sisters-in-law, Ann Ohnemus (Jim) and Kristen Niewhoner; her close friends, Roseanne Terwelp (Jim), Mary Lou Tucker (Terry) and Carol Sparrow (Tom); and her brother Bill Watterkotte (Linda). She was also cherished by 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, her sisters.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church (1721 College Ave, Quincy, IL 62301). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (1721 College Ave, Quincy, IL 62301).
Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Notre Dame Foundation (Class of 1965 Scholarship).
