We announce the death of Carl D. W. Johnson of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on June 24, 2026, at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Johnson and Nadine Johnson (Tate); his daughter Kimberly Jenkins; his son-in-law Jim Lucas; and his brother Edward Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Johnson; his daughters, Laura Duesterhaus (Joe) of Quincy and Deborah Lucas of Quincy; his grandchildren, Ellen Duesterhaus (Michael Hogard), Karl Duesterhaus (Kimberly Gudewicz), Timothy Lucas, Deacon Lucas and Annelise Jenkins; and his siblings, Carol Rankin and Alvah Johnson.
