With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Hicks of Quincy, Illinois, born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on May 6, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Shoemaker and Marguerite Clark Shoemaker; her sister Sharon Burrier; and her brother-in-law Larry Burrier. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Hicks (Sarah Becks) of Quincy, IL and Curtis Hicks (Jamie) of Greentop, MO; her grandchildren, Taylor and Parker Hicks of Liberty, IL; her sons, Parker Thomas of Quincy, Conner and Cayden Hicks of Greentop, MO; her sisters, Peggy Hall (Chuck) of Napa, CA and Nancy Brinkman (Greg) of St. Cloud, FL; her nephews, Brian Brinkman (Janette) of Quincy and Cory Brinkman (Amanda) of St. Cloud, FL; her great-nephews, Jonathan "Duke" Brinkman and Kaden Durbin; and her great-niece Isabella Brinkman.
