She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. Caldwell and Claris R. Phelps Caldwell; her husband Frank E. Steffen; her siblings, Leonard, Donald Caldwell and Phyllis Chapman; and her daughter-in-law Monica Steffen.

She is survived by: her children, Ginger Madison (Ray) of Liberty, IL, Ron Steffen (Nona) of Chancellor, SD and Roy Steffen of Clayton, IL; and her sister Shirley Dedert of Quincy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren.
