With sadness, we share the passing of Dale E. Ohnemus of Quincy, Illinois. Dale, born on February 27, 1941, passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Conrad and Mary Eva Ohnemus (Klatt); his siblings, Daniel (Norma), Beatrice Waterman, Roman Ohnemus, Gerald Ohnemus, Patricia Meado and Rosemary Reichert; and his granddaughters, Allison Goodwin and Melissa Casto.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay McGrew; his children, Thomas Ohnemus (Jin) of Loraine, IL, Rebecca Mitchell (Robert) of Fowler, IL and Sherry Goodwin (Terry) of Quincy, IL.; his grandchildren, Scott Watson, Audrey Ohnemus, Elizabeth Ohnemus, Shea Brueggeman, Emily Wittner (Jeffrey), Jenny Calef (James), Devin Mitchell (Ashley), Derek Mitchell, Joshua Goodwin (Rachel) and Brody Goodwin; his great grandchild Norman Pearson, III; and his siblings-in-law, Eugene McGrew (Linda) of Bushnell, Ginny and Doris Ohnemus.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church.
