He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee R. Ellison and Dora L. Blackledge Ellison; and his siblings, Bill, Roger, Kathleen, Carol and Velda.

He is survived by: his brother Ronald Ellison of Hull; and his sister-in-law Linda Ellison of Rockport. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
