She was predeceased by: her parents, Rueben Ray and Lillie Brooks Barber; her husband David A. Sowell; and her granddaughter Jillian Marie Hogan. She is survived by: her children, Quanada, Scott Hogan of Quincy and Kelly Brook Hogan of Quincy; her grandchildren, Darion Hogan, Caleb Altgilbers, Collin Altgilbers and Dylan Sowell; her stepson Daniel Sowell (Cheryl) of Quincy; and her sisters, Ginny Askins (Larry) of Marshall, MO and Mary Barber (Bob Southard) of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
