With solemn reverence, we commemorate Earlene Mary Mosby of Quincy, Illinois, whose life came to an end on October 3, 2025 at the age of 101, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Allen and Annie Allen (Weathers); her husband George W. Mosby; her siblings, Earl, Russell, Wendell, Herbert Allen, Maxine Allen and Charlotte Gipson; and her daughter Judith Mae Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gerri Scott of Chicago, Gretchen McBride-Chavis of Columbus, OH and Marla Gay (William) of Quincy; and her grandchildren, William Scott, Michael McBride (Yugunda), Marcus McBride (Tara), Melody McBride, Matthew McBride, Eunique Schneider (Mark), Richard Johnson and Victor M. Saunders. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home (1435 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson Lincoln Swimming Pool Complex.
