He was predeceased by: his parent Harvie E.; his wife Thelma Medder; his daughter Rosemary Hope; his grandson Sean Weathers; his siblings, Ray Mixer and Ermaly Wright; and his former wife Nellie Edwards.
He is survived by: his sons, Eldon Mixer (Terry) of New Port News, VA and Steven Mixer (Glenda) of Normangee, TX; and his siblings, Mervin Mixer of Fort Madison, IA and Yvonne Smith of Clayton, IL.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
