It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene R. Jansen of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on September 29, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Jansen and Frances Jansen (Hummel); and his siblings, Edmund Jansen, Jr., Russell Jansen and Marilyn Barry.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Wegs; and his daughters, Janice Link (Jeff) of Springfield, IL and Diane Kline (Bruce) of Hudson, OH..
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church (1721 College Ave, Quincy, IL 62301).
Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church or the charity of donor's choice.
