He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mayfield and Margaret Smith Mayfield; his wife Carolyn Bernice Schieferdecker; and his brother Arthur Monroe Mayfield Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Hitchcock (Lawrence) of Quincy and Beth Mayfield-House (Henry) of St. Louis, MO; and his grandsons, Joshua Mayfeild and Levi Hitchcock.
