With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frederick W. Heckenkamp of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on February 8, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Frederick leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Frederick may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick W. Heckenkamp and Norma Heckenkamp (Bruenger); and his siblings, Joan Koetters and Gene Heckenkamp. He is survived by: his wife Joan Herrington; and his children, Lee Anne Jessup, Frederick'Will'Heckenkamp (Lorrie Ann), Leslie Susan Fitzgerald and John Heckenkamp (Kimberly Ann). He is also survived by Numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
