He is survived by: his daughter Julie Hooper (Ed) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Natalie Thompson, Vanessa Lucas (Tim), Wesley Ervin (McKenna), Nicholas Still (Allie) and Chelsea Ferry (Nic); his great grandchildren, Karson Dietrich, Brylee, Keller, Kolter Lucas, Madelyn Thompson, Wilder Ervin, Kellan, Georgia Still, Alfred, Victor and Selina Ferry; and his nephew David Mosley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma..
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1701 Mound Rd, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ripley Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or the Illinois Veterans Home Activity Fund.
