He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dean and Eva Knight Gross; his wife Shirley Ann; and his brother Orville. He is survived by: his children, Georgia Powers (Patrick) of Quincy, Richard Gross (Kathryn McDaniel) of Canton, MO, Renee Mason (James) of Mesquite, TX and Dana McSorley (Daniel) of Caledonia, MI; his grandchildren, Shannon Neiswender (Nick), Caitlyn McSorley, Brendan McSorley (Aubrey), Fallon McSorley, Brooks Gross, Jedediah Mason (Emily), Holly Mason, Kiana Gross, Collin Gross and McKenna Gross; and his siblings, Melba Cohen, Annie Ellis, Mary Oakley, William Gross (Becky) and Russell Gross (Irene). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
