He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald M. Collins and Faye W. Golden Collins; his former wife Wilma Mae Collins; his son Gerald W. "Jay" Collins, Jr.; and his granddaughter Schuyler Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Shriver Dougherty; his daughters, Susan Wilson (David) of Farmer City, IL, Stephanie Boyer of Quincy and Sheryl Hart (Rodney) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Lane Wilson and Emily Roos (Brett); his stepchildren, Evan, Kristan, Brant Boyer, Hannah, Spencer, Andrew Collins, Olivia, Cayley, Josh Dougherty, Elijah and Caleb Manock; his great grandchildren, Braiden Boyer, Morgan and Ben Collins; his siblings, Larry Collins (JoAnn) and Sharon Moore (Mark); Randy Boyer and Mindy Beckwith.
