He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl F. Darnell and Mildred C. Darnell (Brinkman); his siblings, Tom (Pat), Mike (Ronnie) and Mary Tipton (Mike); and his nephew Jim Darnell.
He is survived by: his brother Gary P. Darnell (Carol) of Quincy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested for the Quincy Notre Dame athletic department or in care of Gary Darnell for the medical expenses of Baby Navy who is facing heart surgery.
