Hattie B. Sayles Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Hattie B. Sayles of Quincy, Illinois is shared. Hattie, born on November 26, 1926, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Simon (Hattie Simon) and Hattie Julias Simon; her husband Gordon Sayles; and her grandson Damon Wilson. She is survived by: her son Roger Wilson of Quincy; her grandsons, Duane Jones of Quincy, Roger Wilson Jr. (Pamela) of Columbus, OH and Anthony Wilson of Iowa City, IA; and her great grandchildren, Duane Jones Jr. and LaToya Jones. She is also survived by five great-great- grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home (1535 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
