He was predeceased by: his parents, August Bunte and Louise Bunte (Futter); and his wife Irene C. Wellman. He is survived by: his children, Margaret "Peggy" Hesse (James) of Mendon, Kent W. Bunte (Lisa) of Quincy, Lizabeth Bunte (Bette) of Quincy and Theresa Mast (Stephen) of Fowler, IL.; his granddaughter Jennifer Sparrow (Byron); and his children, Curtis Hesse (Amanda), Benjamin Hesse (Amanda), Diane Blickhan (Dennis), Joshua Bunte, Jacob Bunte (Stacy), Jaclyn Bunte (Gary Groesbeck), Sandra Richter (Brian), Ryan Mast (Nicky), Kim Lind (Jason), Cody Mast (Layne), Daniel Mast (Rachel) and Rebecca Thompson (Adam). He is also survived by 28 Great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Volunteer Emergency Corps.
