He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva E. Vandament and Ruth A. Vandament (Mahood); and his siblings, Mary McIntire, Dr. William Vandament and Richard Vandament.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Rae Aden; his children, Kevin Vandament (Brenda) of Quincy, IL, Kris Matheus (Dan) of Fort Worth, TX, Michael Vandament (Claudia) of San Antonio, TX and Marc Vandament of Austin, TX; and his stepson Doug Schlueter (Kate) of Quincy, IL. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
