He is survived by: his children, Jamie Long (Paula Miles) of Quincy, Danny Long (Kim) of Quincy and Cathy Kopel of Quincy; his grandchildren, Catrina Acklin (Shanon) of Flushing, Michigan, Lindsay Burton (Eric) of Monticello, Illinois, Kelsey Kasparie (Nick) of St. Louis, Missouri, Kasey Trease (Drake) of St. Louis, Missouri and Karley Chamberlin (Austin) of St. Louis, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Evelyn, James, Knox, Loreli, Kendra and Cincinatus; his stepgrandchildren, Sabin, Veritoss and Astraya; and his nieces and nephews, Rainy Horvath (John) of Scarsdale, Pat Long of St. Louis, Missouri, Kay Spencer (Larry) of Alabama and Gary Long (Pat) of Morton, Illinois..

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home (1535 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
