He was predeceased by: his parents, John Whitney and Marie Tallon Whitney; his stepmother Hermaline Whitney; and his son Steven John Whitney. He is survived by: his wife Karen Wiggins; his daughter Cynthia Ann Whitney of Quincy; his grandchildren, Emily Muscavitz (Corey) of Quincy, Stephen Whitney (Megan) of Quincy, Rebecca Gordon of Quincy, Trevor Gordon of Quincy, Beth Chriscoe of Quincy and Erin Gordon of Quincy; his great grandchildren, Lillie and Mykela Muscavitz; his grandchildren, Hannah, Alyvia Gordon, Abagail Chriscoe, Kessler, Kearney, Ferrah Roberts, Kendrick and Miles Whitney; and his siblings, Frank Whitney (Shelly) of Roach, Missouri and Deanna Schisler (John) of Coatsburg, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
