He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Allen and Blanche White Allen; his son Richard Russell Allen; and his wife Juanita Ruth Poling of Loraine, IL.. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Upper of Quincy, IL, Katherine McCabe (Brian) of Wheaton, IL and Steven Allen (Nicole) of Glen Ellyn; his siblings, Madelyn McLear (Harry) of Kansas City, MO, Charlotte Grimmer (Dave) of St. Louis, MO and Richard Allen of Quincy; his grandchildren, Ivan, Hana Allen and Jackson McCabe; and his nibling Grimmer.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that any memorials be made to Blessed Sacrament Parish of Quincy, Blessing Hospice Services, or Ducks Unlimited.
