He was predeceased by: his parents, Hank Rischar and Mabel Rischar (VanArx). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Kelley; his children, Heather Rischar of Prairie Village, KS, Richard Rischar (Gulshirin Dubash) of Interlochen, MI and Hank Rischar (Breanne) of Lawrence, KS; his granddaughter Adelaide Rischar; his siblings, Suzanne Kelle of Quincy, IL, Max Rischar (Carol) of Marianna, FL, Steve Rischar of Dwight, IL and Mike Rischar (Susie) of Quincy, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Singer (Leonard), Nancy Kelley of Quincy, IL and Jerry Kelley (Millie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Quincy Humane Society, Quanada, or the Blessing Foundation.
