John Eldie Mims Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Eldie Mims of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on May 31, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Helena Mims (Pearl); and his siblings, Reverend Jeffrey L. Mims and Helane 'Nell Mims-Adams. He is survived by: his father Rev. John Henry Mims (Vickie); his children, John Eldie Mims, Jr. of LaBelle, MO, Joshua Lamar Mims of Quincy and Karryana Mims of LaBelle, MO.; his siblings, Inde, Bradley (Mike) of Palmyra, MO and Sherlene Simpson (Errol) of Las Vegas, NV; and his sister-in-law Pamela Mims of Columbia, MO.. He is also survived by Numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many very close friends.
