He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Mae Post of Quincy; his children, Kimberly A. Haas, Jody L. Ervin, Sue Osborne and David L. Sopher II (Gail); his grandchildren, James T. Ervin, Andrew A. Haas, Jennifer Maggart (Donald) and Justin Dunmire; and his sister Vera Irene Merritt. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to the Shriner's Hospital or Blessing Hospice in Quincy.
