With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Eugene Waelder Sr. of Quincy, Illinois, born in Aberdeen, Maryland, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 69. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Eugene Waelder Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Waelder and Rose Waelder (Stasi); and his sister Julia Waelder. He is survived by : his children, Stephanie Chandler (Edward) of Quincy, John Waelder, Jr. of Green Bay, WI, Rosemary Waelder of Pacific, MO and Michelle Bozarth (Nathan) of Quincy; his sister Jeaneen Halle of Springfield, IL.; and his pets, Vito and June.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home (1435 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
