With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John L Goudschaal of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Goudschaal and Laurita Goudschaal (House) of Coatsburg, IL.. He is survived by: his wife Laura (Roberts); his children, Johnna and Garrett (Kelseigh); his granddaughter Leighnkon Maas; and his cousin Denton Sprenger.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home (110 School St, Camp Point, IL 62320). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the QMG Foundation – Oncology Patient Assistance Fund.
