We bid farewell to Josephine A. Dabney of Quincy, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 22, 2025 at the age of 86. Josephine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lohmeyer and Rita Lohmeyer (Barton); her husband Charles "Chuck" Dabney; her sister Mary Stevens (Bob); her siblings-in-law, Charles Huth, Bob Stevens, Stanley Harpole (Carrie), Gene Harpole, Joyce Lohmeyer, Carrie Harpole and June Darnell; her nephew Timothy Lohmeyer; and her mother-in-law Irene Dabney.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Dabney of Chatham, IL and Cheryl Dabney of Iowa City, IA; her grandchildren, Brendon, Ryan, Logan Dabney of Quincy, Courtney, Emily Toth of Midland, MI and Audrey Toth of Cedar Falls, IA; and her siblings, Robert Lohmeyer, Patricia Huth and Laurie Laaker. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Patience Assistance Fund, Blessing Cancer Center, Blessing Hospice, or Sunset Activity Fund.
