She was predeceased by: her parents, John Peters and Anna Peters (Lohman); her husband Frank Blickhan; her siblings, Joan Smith, Jeanette Peters and John Peters; and her stepgrandson Drake Hosch.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Brueggeman (Tammy) of Quincy, John Brueggeman (Angi) of Quincy and Carol Hosch (Nick) of West Branch, Iowa; her stepchildren, Bryan Blickhan (Lorie) of Libertyville, Allison Brooks (Scott) of Springfield and Gary Blickhan of Quincy; her grandchildren, Shea Brueggeman and Emily Wittner (Jeffrey); her stepgrandchildren, Brittany Reinold, Bryce Griffin and Brock Griffin; and her sister June Poepping (Pat) of Quincy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1119 S 7th St, Quincy, IL 62301).
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
