He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Grimes and Mary Grimes (Campbell); and his brother Carl Grimes. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Goehl; his son Matt Grimes (Ragen) of Jacksonville, IL; and his nieces, Amy Smith (Danny) of Quincy, IL and Amber Schrand (Joe) of Quincy, IL.
