Hess; his grandchildren, Aiden, Addison Johnson of Decatur, IL, Sawyer, Elliott Costigan of Quincy, Charli Costigan of Elkader and Oliver Patel of St. Charles, MO.; his siblings, Ann Pflibsen (Dan) of Quincy, Tony Costigan (Lisa) of Quincy, Tim Costigan (Susan) of Quincy, Brent Costigan (Annetta) of Quincy, Mary Kay Costigan (John Courtney) of Quincy, Kevin Hess (Ellen) of Fort Atkinson, WI and Kirk Hess (Sherry) of Hannibal, MO; his parents-in-law, Gary and Maureen Hess; his sister-in-law Laurie Costigan; his niece Andrea Costigan; Sunny Turner of Garnavillo, Iowa.. He was also cherished by his wife, four children.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Mississippi Valley Hunters and Fishermen's Association or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
