He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Dietrich; his parents-in-law, Arlene and Leo "Sparky" Shipe; his brothers-in-law, Terry Shipe and Lonnie Shipe; and his grandparents, George, Francis Benz, Virgil and Bertha Dietrich.
He is survived by: his mother Joan Dietrich (Benz); his daughter Tricia Dietrich (Shawn Palmer); his siblings, Dale Dietrich (April), Diana Harpole (Edwin), Linda Freeman (Richard) and Donna Vogt (Terry); his aunts, Doris Hildebrand and Connie Schutte; and his friends, Dave, Gary and Jody. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home (1435 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (2223 St Anthony Rd, Quincy, IL 62305).
