She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles William and Mary Elizabeth Miller Shear; her sister Linda Shear; and her great-niece Acadia De Bow. She is survived by: her former husband George Barrett; her daughters, Ruth Barrett of Quincy and Rachel Schieferdecker (Gregory) of Quincy; and her siblings, James Shear of Lewistown, Gary Shear (Vivian) of Quincy, Teddy Shear of Maywood, Brenda De Bow of Cedar Rapids, Diana Shear of Lewistown and Donna Boling of Durham. She is also survived by eight nieces and a nephew; seven great nieces and ten great nephews.
