With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louise Marie Burns (Quincy, Illinois), who passed away on August 20, 2023 at the age of 107. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Joseph and Clara Mangold Burns; her brother John H. Burns (Betty); her grandfather Henry Mangold (Mary); her stepmother Hannah Mangold Baker Burns; and her stepsister Helen Baker Schutte (Raymond).
She is survived by: her niece Patricia Burns Ternes (Robert) of Scottsdale, AZ; her nephew Major James J. Burns (Margie); her great-nephews, Colby Burns (Sara) of Olympia, WA and Robert J. Ternes III (Lindsay) of Boulder, CO; her great-niece Leslie Ternes Smith (Elias) of Austin, TX; her nephew John Schutte; her great-niece Patti Grimes (Larry); Hannah Mangold Baker, Emma Mangold Boes, Ruth, Norah Burns, Ellison Woods, William Weatherford Smith, Margaux Jane and Roxanne Louise Ternes. She is also survived by cousins and loving friends.
