With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Jeanette Smith of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Voss and Helen Voss (Ottwein); her husband Nelson K. Smith; and her brothers, Bob Voss and Darrell Voss.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Travis (David) of Jefferson City, MO, Teresa Smith of Quincy, IL and Tim Smith (Tammy) of Quincy, IL; her grandchildren, Anthony Clark (Jennifer), Alyssa Smith, Jeanette Soebbing (Daniel), Katherine Clark, Jordan Smith, Tyler Clark (Brittany), Lilith Winters, Ryan Smith (Rina), Tonya Travis, Chrysi Decker and David Travis II; her great grandchildren, Coen Pierce, Kinley Clark, Eloise Soebbing, Avery Clark, Benjamin Clark, Adeline Clark, Sora Smith, Jack Clark, Kiersten Laurence, Keegan Nebe, Kelsie Travis, Kendall Travis, Blake Hewett, Jamelah Raymond, Brody Travis, Casey Corey and Rhegan Decker; her siblings, Richard Voss of Quincy and Carol Stough (Marty) of Noblesville, IN; and her sister-in-law Sue Voss. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
