She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Newberry and Helen Doren Newberry; her husband George Edward Schaffer; her great grandchild Miles Waterkotte; and her sisters, Esther Ann Newberry and Doris Jean Hiller.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Edward Schaffer (Jacki) and Viki Lynn Gregowicz (John) of Riverton, IL.; her grandsons, Christopher Michael Schaffer of Quincy, Jeremiah Stephen Schaffer (Lindsay) of Quincy, Caleb Michael Schaffer of Quincy, Matthew Donovan Brewer (Jennifer) of New Berlin, IL. and Nicholas Adam Waterkotte (Jessica) of Auburn, IL.; her great grandchildren, Hanna, Paige, Eli, Carter, Abby, Nathan, Lainey and Briggs; and her brother James Newberry (Sandy) of West Burlington, IA.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
