It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Nell Meyer (Quincy, Illinois), born in Hannibal, Missouri, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Frier and Gertrude Zimmerman Frier; her siblings, Elizabeth Ann and Bill; and her son Timothy Michael.

She is survived by: her husband George C. Meyer; her children, Edward Meyer (Natalie) and Susan Scott (Jason); her grandchildren, William Timothy Scott, Colin Parker Scott, Elizabeth Mary Scott and Henrik George Thomas Meyer; her sister-in-law Susie Frier; and her siblings, John Frier (Becky), Margaret Ann White (C. V.) and Maureen Mau. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

It was Mary Nell's wish that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Peter School, Quincy University, or the Quincy Public School Foundation.
