She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Howerton and Eva Fern Cloyd Howerton; and her husband Raymond William Swann. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Swann of Greensboro and Kelly VanderMaiden (Douglas) of Quincy; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn VanderMaiden (Andy Drea) of Chicago, Gabriel VanderMaiden (Leah) and Andrew VanderMaiden of Quincy; and her brother Ralph Howerton, Jr. of Joplin, Missouri..
