She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Howerton and Eva Fern Cloyd Howerton; and her husband Raymond William Swann. She is survived by : her children, Christopher Swann of Greensboro and Kelly VanderMaiden (Douglas) of Quincy; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn VanderMaiden (Andy Drea) of Chicago, Gabriel VanderMaiden (Leah) and Andrew VanderMaiden of Quincy; and her brother Ralph Howerton, Jr. of Joplin, Missouri..

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home (1535 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
