He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Rush and Mary Evans Rush; and his siblings, Russell Rush, Jr., Donna Buckley, Dorothy Brown, Lucille Kiesewetter and Deloris Shaffer.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Douglas; his children, Steven Rush (Diana) of Fowler, Christina Hays (Mike Childress) of Quincy and Curtis Rush (Lori) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Jared Rush of Quincy, Rachel Gamache (Jack) of Moscow Mills, MO, Darren Hays (Freydell) of Wenatchee, WA, Carra Brown (Alex) of Quincy, Aaron Rush of Albuquerque, NM, Amanda Rush of Quincy, Marc Rush (Lindsey) of Griggsville, Becca Rush (Quinten Frankel) of Quincy and Hope Parsons (Kenton) of Emden, MO; and his siblings, David Rush (Betty) of New Salem, Bruce Rush (Della) of New Salem, James Rush (Betty) of Decatur, Ronald Rush of Pittsfield, Diana Kroschel of Pittsfield and Lester Rush (Janet) of Griggsville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
