He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Red" Sr. Scheiter and Laverta "Sis" Macomber Scheiter; his wife Rose; and his siblings, Bobby Joe Scheiter and Linda Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Scheiter (Cindy) of Camp Point, IL, Angie Bridges (Mark) of Venice, FL and Renee Higgins (Curtis) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Molly Bridges, Alec Bridges, Megan Linnemeyer (Ethan), Rylan Scheiter (Ashley), Grant Higgins (Breanna) and Gavin Higgins; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Dax, Harper, Reis and Rowan.
