He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kansteiner and Cecelia Kansteiner (Keane); his brother Don Kansteiner; and his sister-in-law Irma. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Orr; his son Richard Scott Kansteiner (Kristina) of La Crosse, WI; and his grandchildren, Brodie Putz, Charlotte Kansteiner and Elizabeth Kansteiner.

Memorials may be made to the Quincy Senior Center.
