He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard D. Shankland and Mildred G. Shankland (Aalbers); his former wife Carolyn Shankland (Maas); and his grandson Corbin Gregory Shankland. He is survived by: his wife Daryl; his children, Gregory Shankland (Lynn), Katherine and Linda Shankland; his stepchildren, Dr. Carter Freiburg (Anja), Conrad Freiburg and Alison Manahan (Jim); his grandchildren, Kourtni, Chandler, Clarissa Shankland, Jessica Rayhel, Jacob Shankland, Isabelle, Gavin Freiburg, Ruby and Millie Manahan; his great grandchildren, Isaiah Rayhel and Astoria Greene; and his brother Michael Shankland (Betty). He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
