He was predeceased by: his parents, George Soltys and Grace Soltys (Kelly); his brother George Soltys Jr.; and his father-in-law Gerald (Wilma Hummel). He is survived by: his wife Ann Hummel; and his children, Greg of Quincy, IL and Emily Salinas (Andrew) of Puyallup, WA..
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Church (2600 Maine St, Quincy, IL 62301).
Memorials are suggested to the St. Peter Music Ministry/Broadcast Ministry or the Bob Soltys Scholarship to be established for the Quincy Tennis Association.
