He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert, Sr. Bastean and Elizabeth Bastean (Musholt); his wife Janet Staggs; and his siblings, Albert, Thomas and Mary Wasson (Susie).

He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Bastean (Greg Sutter), Linda Timpe (Ralph), Julie Yepsen and Gabriela Mena (Johnny Segura); his grandchildren, Nick Bastean (Miriam Blume), Gavin Yepsen and Amanda Penisten (John); his great grandchildren, Arabel and Martin Bastean; and his siblings, Bernard Bastean (Butch) and Florence Horman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Meals On Wheels or another charity of the donor's choice.
