He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cross and Clara Hankin Cross; his siblings, George, Hugh, Fred and Roberta Cross; and his children, Kenneth Reever and Carolyn Gilfoy.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Mayfield; his son Larry Reever (Jocelyn) of Canton, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Robert E. Reever, Amy Hutchinson (Roger), April Gibbons, Autumn Mike, Joseph Nelson, Alex Guilfoy, Zachary Reever and Justin Reever; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Reever, Emily Finnell, Madison Finnell, Mason Beahan, Jeremy Beahan, Kenady Debary, Mia Hutchinson, Wyatt Reeves and Jason Geisendorfer.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.
