He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Kirgan and Cathryn Kirgan (Hosford); his sister Kay Ann; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Bancroft, Burt Scranton, Dale Mowen, Richard McGlasson and Donald Cecil.

He is survived by: his wife Janice McGlasson; his children, Rachel Little (Kevin) of O'Fallon, MO, Jennifer Schutte (Kevin) of Winfield, MO, Evelina Kirgan of Burlington, VT and Nathan Kirgan of Liberty, IL; his sisters, Susan Bancroft of Chatham, IL, Barbara Scranton of Sierra Vista, AZ and Betty Nall of Palmyra, MO; his grandchildren, Mercedes, Bryce Little, Gunner, Kannon Schutte, Maeson and Kylie Kirgan; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Haley (Neil) and Becky Cecil. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
